We have been using automatic Simalubes on our Enercon E40 wind turbines for many years. We have 39 Enercon turbines and each unit requires some 44 Simalubes per year. We have trialled different lubricators over the years and found the Simalube to be the preferred lubricator by all our maintenance teams. Iluka Resources Southwest Operations operates a Rotary Kiln and a Rotary Cooler as part of the Synthetic Rutile processing plant.
The Kiln and Cooler are a reducing environment so sealing the process from ingress air is critical.
With great technical support from ETS Australia we were able to select the Brugarols GA kiln grease supplied by ETS Australia to lubricate the rotating seal rings, while maintaining an air tight seal.
This is a high temperature application and holds up extremely well. We were able to reduce our usage from the previous Shell supplied kiln grease used.
ETS Australia have provided the bulk kibble pods for supply and we have never had a supply or quality issue.
